Celebrity Apprentice- Joan Rivers vs Annie Duke in the final.

Monday, May 11, 2009

In yesterdays Gong show called "Celebrity Apprentice" Joan Rivers came out on top and was hired while poker champ Annie Duke was fired on the final faceoff.

Rivers beat out Duke on Sunday's finale by planning a better fundraising gala and, maybe, by launching better zingers at her rival.

Rivers won $250,000 for her chosen charity (God's Love We Deliver, which brings meals to the seriously ill who are homebound). She also won sweet revenge against her bitter adversary, with whom she swapped many less than charitable words.

NBC's ridiculous 3hr broadcast eventually led to Duke being summoned to the decisive boardroom session, aired live from Manhattan's Museum of Natural History. There, she heard the dreaded verdict from series host Donald Trump: "You're fired."
But before that, as she and Rivers sat across the boardroom table from Trump, and the two just went at it!

"You are a two-faced person," Rivers railed at Duke. "You have said I'm a cancer. You said you hoped I would die. You never said it to my face!"

"For six boardrooms," said Duke, holding tight to her composure, "I sat here and acted professional."

"Professional-ly," Rivers corrected her.

"And there's only so much a girl can take," Duke continued.

"You're not a girl anymore, darling," Rivers shot back. "You're a woman."

Rivers and Duke were the last of 16 celebrities who started the season vying for the title of Celebrity Apprentice.

In its eighth season, "Celebrity Apprentice" has displayed remarkable stamina as a reality-show infomercial whose mission, in the form of a contest, is to plug brand names. Last week's challenge called for the celebrity contestants to come up with the winning jingle to promote a certain brand of tuna. Sunday's finale was built around a photography brand piggybacked onto product placement for a popular theatre production. I have said this many times and this show is only in operation because it's one big fucking commercial.

"Celebrity Apprentice" is also dedicated to breathing new life into the brands of the celebrity participants themselves, who, as this season began, included Olympic figure skating gold medallist Scott Hamilton, comedian Andrew Dice Clay, former "Monster Garage" host Jesse James and TV personality Khloe Kardashian.

For the final task, duelling project managers Rivers and Duke were assigned to create a pre-heater party and silent auction, sponsored by Kodak, for patrons attending Cirque du Soleil's "Wintuk."

Project teams were composed of previously fired contestants including former football great Herschel Walker, Playboy pinup Brande Roderick (who is still very hot!), country music performer Clint Black( Who was hilarious in this season), former NBA basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman, comedian Tom Green and TV host Melissa Rivers, reunited with her mom, Joan.

Difficulties (and enmity between the teams) spiked when Rivers tangled with the design firm that had been hired to assist both teams. The company pulled out on Rivers' team - and Duke's team, too.

"This woman needs to die," Duke seethed as she tried to fix a problem she blamed on Rivers.

But now that the game is over, can the rift between them heal?

I know I for one was very tempted to turn off the television because I couldn't stand both of them for 3 hrs. Lucky for you I stayed to the bitter sweet end.

In the show's final seconds, Rivers rose to her feet and gave Duke, still seated beside her, a hug. Who cares right? I know I don't!

Celebrity Apprentice- Melissa & Joan Rivers FURIOUS!

Monday, April 27, 2009

If you watched celebrity apprentice tonight then you might be thinking the same thing I am. Tonight's show was probably the most entertaining show since this season first started.

While Jesse James was wasting his "Clint sucks" anger on his own team’s winning project manager, Melissa Rivers was trying to defend herself from the "high school mean girls" – Annie Duke and Brande Roderick.

Joan Rivers goes off on a wild rant against Annie Duke calling "poker players the scum of the earth", "worst then white trash"

Melissa Rivers thought everyone was conspiring to get rid of her.

"There is no conspiring whatsoever."- Brande

"Don’t think you’re fooling me, ‘cause you’re not. … Let’s call a spade a spade. … Trust me, I’m not a fool."- Melissa

"I don’t need to conspire against Melissa, I think Melissa is doing a good job of conspiring against herself."- Annie

WOW, and this was just the beginning. Just wait till they got in the bored room.

"It’s really clear that you two are teaming to get rid of me. … It’s gotten really clear that it doesn’t matter what I say. … That’s how it feels and that’s how it appears."- Melissa Rivers said.

Annie told guest star Jim Cramer that she came up with the ad concept and did everything. "Honestly I would say I was tasked with quite a lot," she said. And considering how much she was tasked with, she thinks she did a great job. But everyone was on board with her ideas, she added.

Jim Cramer recognized that Annie tried to position herself to get the credit if they win, but not be blamed if they lose.

Brande thinks it should be her and Annie together because she feels they are a "very, very strong team." Does she know how Annie used to talk smack about her?

Mellisa Rivers Stormed out of the board room tonight after being fired. She didn't stop for an interview she just stormed around on her one good foot demanding her bags to be brought to the elevator asap.

Both Joan and Mellisa continued to swear and scream every second word calling the other two female contestants left on the show' Bitches, Whores, Liars" amongst other things that were bleeped out.

Annie: "I have never made a personal attack on anybody in this room."

Joan: "The difference is we are saying it to your face."
And behind her back, but it’s true. Annie says plenty of nasty things outside that room.(I love this line from Joan about Annie, from earlier in the night: "I can’t wait for her to get her first face lift because she’s going to need two doctors.")

Ivanka Trump pointed out that Brande delegated most of the most important tasks.
Jim also made a good point about Brande calling Annie the "queen" of this and the "queen" of that and it’s basically saying Annie is the queen and Brande and Melissa are just pawns.

Trump asked if being beautiful all her life has meant Brande hasn’t had to use her brain as much.
[above pic of Annie Duke poker player]

Brande said it’s quite the opposite, she’s had to be smarter.

Joan, from the other room: "Both breasts can count to 10."

So even though they lost the challenge – which Annie basically controlled through weak puppet Brande – the one who got fired was Melissa. Melissa who tried to interject plenty of good ideas, but her team wouldn’t listen. Still, she worked hard like a team player, And she was fired for it. And she was tiiiiiiiiicked ooooooofff.

She literally ran out of the boardroom, even with a cast on her foot. She was screaming for her purse and her stuff, telling someone – a producer? – that he would not get an interview from her.

Melissa: "Get the fucking elevator. I’m done. … I’m not coming back. Fuckk everyone."

Meanwhile, inside the other room, Joan was already seething.

Joan: "You’ve now got a Nazi and a follower."

At the same time, Annie was reassuring Brande that she didn’t do anything wrong. They walked into the room with Joan, Jesse and Clint and Joan immediately lit into them.

Joan to Annie and Brande: "You are a piece of shit and you are a stupid blonde."
She tells Brande she’s been manipulated by Annie.

Brande: "I’m still here and Melissa’s not, so how am I the one who is manipulated?"

Brande said she’s doing what she has to do to win so her charity gets the winning money.

Joan: "I don’t want to hear this charity nonsense. Charity is a very wonderful thing." (To Annie): "Your people, you give money with blood on it."

She calls poker people the worst kind of white trash. She leaves too, grabbing her stuff and getting into the elevator with Melissa.

Melissa: "Lying fucking whores."

Going back to the real action though, the ending. Many people were shocked as to why Mellisa got fired to begin with?

Jim Kramer was the guest judge on the show and I believe he didn't help in tonight's episode. I feel "The Donald" really didn't know what to do. The two of the were sharing notes and giving each other the wink during the board room decision. It looked like Jim was the one who actually fired Mellisa, and Donald just made it happen.

Jim Kramer was so scared before he even told Donald who he should fire he asked "Is Joan going to see this"

During the Celebrity apprentice the Rivers girls has been nothing but entertainment. I Will try to get a Video of tonight's bitch fest, but in the meantime please comment if you watched it.

Do you think Mellisa should have been fired? was Joan just a little over the top? Whats to come next, who knows? But it looks like it's going to be down to the final 4.

Clint Blacks sexual fantasy detergent commercial

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

I am a big fan of E!’s The Soup, It points out the same things I tend to point out. What the fuck was Clint Black thinking?

Seriously? Was he trying to live out some secret sexual fantasy? Was this something he always dreamed of? One of the best parts of this is the well placed tissue box located on the night stand. What is it for? to clean up after himself? or is it to wipe away his tears of desperation.

Believe it or not he didn’t get fired for the above advertisement. The other teams were just as bad and the ALL reps did not like any of them.

Clint lived for another day. Watch the above and enjoy!

Joan Rivers the "Hotel Whore"

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

If any of you watched Sunday evening’s Celebrity Apprentice as they attempted to run a few rooms at the Loews Regency Hotel. Let me tell you this in a nut shell, when you throw Joan Rivers and Dennis Rodman into the mix. You get a GONG SHOW!
If you didn't catch the episode, no worries: we've got a rundown of what went down when Loews' head honcho Jonathan Tisch challenged the remaining 12 contestants (separated into male and female teams) to step in to take over the management of several rooms (per team) at his NYC hotel.

On the men's team was an eclectic collection of C-list stars: Dennis Rodman, Jesse James and Brian McKnight among them. Meanwhile, Joan and Melissa Rivers, Khloe Kardashian and TLC's T-Boz were holding it down on the ladies side.
In a nutshell, here's what transpired: the two teams were given 30-minute rundowns of how to perform the essential job functions in the room service, front office and housekeeping departments — they learned how to do hospital corners on the beds! — and then their assignment was to, you know, provide a good experience for the guests in their assigned rooms from check-in to check-out.

The teams were also in charge of the amenities in each room; the women opted to offer complimentary wifi and free breakfast, plus a big amenity at turndown. The men provided goodies from Carnegie Deli as well as two chauffeur-driven Mercedes' to drive their guests around.

The results: Dennis Rodman got drunker, went a bit bonkers and left during his night shift, the ladies team had some room-cleaning issues, and Joan Rivers performed as a surprisingly decent concierge — save for a couple of errors in which she neglected to tell her guests about enormous charges they weren't expecting. One guest threw an obviously-producer-requested curveball by demanding that male team snag him a reservation at Waverly Inn , and also: Stephen Baldwin, one of the guests who stayed in a room run by the women's team, got an anti-view he called down to complain about — and Joan Rivers maintained that his crappy view was good because it was "more private." We haven't heard that one before.

In the end Dennis Rodman was fired by The Donald. But that is neither here nor there: the big takeaway is that this celebs-running-a-hotel thing was when Joan Rivers yelled out.

“I’m a Hotel Whore!”

I wish I had the video clip for that, Seriously The Soup should have gotten all over that.

Un-fucking-believable!

Is the word i was using last night while watching Donald Trumps new season of Celebrity apprentice.

Not sure if you viewers are aware of this show so i'll break it down for you.

The Donald gets a bunch of "Celebrities" and they appear on his show much like the original "The Apprentice", but instead of them competing for the title to work for Donald Trump. They are competing for prize money for there charities.

Now I'm a fan of the show, i watched it last season and i was disappointed when Gene Simmons was fired. When i heard about this years season and them having one of my all time favorite funny man "Andrew Dice Clay" i was like fuck ya!

The season premiered last night, i got all comfortable on my couch all excited like a little school girl waiting to see what would happen, and what did happen?

My favorite person, the guy i was cheering for since day one, the man the legend, the undisputed heavyweight king of comedy........

WAS FIRED THE FIRST SHOW, UN FUCK'N BELIEVABLE!
