Is Viagra the new Heroin for our Generation?

Viagra is the new wonder drug for all men out there who can’t get hard. Now like my boss, who is 60, he has the chance to hit on all the young hot chicks in the office and have “meetings” with them, all because of this wonder drug.
But is Viagra too new of a pill? Have we not forgotten the other “wonder drugs” that the government has given us in the past. How old is Viagra? Has it been on the shelves long enough to really be considered “safe” Have we all forgotten the wonder drug “heroin”.


From 1898 through to 1910, under the name heroin, diacetylmorphine was marketed as a non-addictive morphine substitute and cough suppressant. Bayer marketed heroin as a cure for morphine addiction before it was discovered that it is rapidly metabolized into morphine, and as such, heroin was essentially a quicker acting form of morphine. The company was embarrassed by this new finding and it became a historical blunder for Bayer. (You know the company that makes aspirin)


As with aspirin, Bayer lost some of its trademark rights to "heroin" under the 1919 Treaty of Versailles following the German defeat in World War I. (So what’s this to do with Viagra?)
In the U.S.A. the Harrison Narcotics Tax Act was passed in 1914 to control the sale and distribution of "heroin" and other opioids. This law did allow the drug to be prescribed and sold for medical purposes.


In 1924, the United States Congress passed additional legislation banning the sale, importation or manufacture. It is now a Schedule I substance, and is thus illegal in the United States.
So what’s the premise of this? Well next time you pop a Viagra, take a second to think.. Is this addictive? Are there long term effects to this? Or short term gains? (Like a hard on that I can’t get unless I keep taking Viagra) Do I depend on this product? What about the deaths caused by all the old people having sex on Viagra? (You know all the heart attacks)


Now you are probably thinking to yourself "What the fuck is this guy talking about?, Viagra is nothing like heroin"

That's right people this might not be heroin, but it definitely costs more per score then heroin. So next time just think to yourself is this the new “wonder drug” or is this the new government miracle pill that in 50 yrs we will find out causes cancer of the prick. Think about it, and i hope you learned a little history lesson while reading this.
