California Pot Growers to the rescue.
According to my sources the Californian pot growers are trying to help out the government by asking them to legalize and tax there crops.
This isn’t something new since most pot enthusiast have been trying to legalize marijuana for quite sometime now.
The California pot growers viewed this recession as a time to strike and went to government today with a strategic plan. They had announced that the American government can gain up to 1 billion dollars in tax revenue to help the country in this time of need.
This sounds like the perfect time for both American, and Canadian governments to maybe think about legalizing pot. Just like the porn industry asking for a bail out, the marijuana growers are trying to give a hand out.
“The tax on this will definitely help the economy, and why not in a time like this.”- local pot smoker says.
So far the Californian pot growers have gotten no response from the American government.

Update*
Due to the recent views on this post i decided to add some more news to the updated.
The above story is true, the coalition actually went to the White House and still nothing has come out of this.
not only would this help a little with there "war on drugs" and let them focus more on the harder drugs at hand, but this will also help with the economy.
It has been over a month since i had written this and still nothing has come out of it. I believe this is still something the government should look into. Not only will the government get tax revenue, but it will also help save lives, and reduce crime.
In my opinion, they don't have to "legalize marijuana in the whole united states" but if they can legalize it in the state of California, and make money off of this, i say go for it.
It's not like Tobacco is a "safe drug" it causes lung cancer and other side effects. It's addictive and therefore a drug. There is no difference in making money off the tax revenue of that, and the tax revenue of the Californian marijuana crops.
think about it, what are they waiting for?
